Correspondance
Société du transport de Montréal
Publication design, 2024.
“Correspondance” refers to the relation of two means of transport. Travelling through Montreal’s underground network is a chaotic experience and when metro users switch lines at either Berri-UQAM, Jean-Talon, Lionel-Groulx or Snowdon, people are walking and running in all directions. Hopefully, users of this publication are good at orienting themselves. The project consisted of showcasing the artworks from each station.
There are four different metro lines in the network. In this publication, each line is displayed in a different orientation: the orange line is straight, the blue line is on the left side, the green line is on the right side and the yellow line is upside down. Big arrows are used to indicate which side the publication must be turned.
This is one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on and it made me love the process of designing publications. The biggest challenge was to keep the layout consistent in all orientations, but I had fun figuring it out! Take a look at some of the spreads inside from each line.
